New Pics from December 2015 wedding

Hey there!

I thought I posted these images ages ago but alas I didn't. Just a quick update from the St. Regis of Bal Harbour wedding in Miami that we had the privilege of working on with the amazing Patty Nash Photography back in December.

The bride wanted to keep things classy and simple at the same time.  I think we managed that, what do you think?

Are you getting married or have a special event in South Florida coming up?

BOUDOIR PHOTO SHOOT - MAKEUP ARTIST & HAIR STYLIST IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Hey there guys!! Just in time for Valentine's Day I just received a few images from my client Dounia's boudoir photoshoot. I mentioned her a bit earlier here in my blog so imagine my surprise when she already received her images back from the photography studio!! I personally think we all (hair, makeup and photography) did a great job! Dounia also was a very good model because she really knew how to move that gorgeous body of hers just right. I don't know which stole the show...her curves or her eyes! She definately played up to the camera like a cheshire cat. I used mostly Motives Cosmetics and their skincare, MAC Cosmetics and Makeup Forever products on her. Next time, I think I will video record the process for you all to enjoy. To me, makeup is about enhancing your natural beauty. No one...and believe me when I say....NO ONE ... wakes up looking like this...not even Beyonce!!! Lol However, I think it is nice to know that we can achieve this look with just a bit of a swipe here and there a few curls and great lighting....well as you can see...my client Dounia worked it if you ask me!!! If you are in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach areas give me a call at 954-245-7166. I will be happy to help you bloom into the beauty you can be. Hair, Makeup and Photography will be set up for you as well. In any case, I am quite pleased with Dounia's images as was she! Let me know what you think? Motives Foundation Quad-South Florida Makeup Artist

As most of you know I am in love with the Motives Cosmetics line. I actually have been representing the line for about 2 years now and use it in my kit on every gig I go on. One of my favorite products in the line is the foundation quad. I actually love the way it lays on the skin! It is ah mah zing!!! It does not enhance lines and such but in fact diminishes them. The coverage is opaque and super creamy (this is not an easy task to do by the way). If you need light coverage it is perfect and if you need a bit more coverage you can build on it. The fact that it manages to remain creamy and not cakey is the reason it does not settle in lines and such. Anything that is going to aid me in the "stay looking young forever" fight gets an A+ in my book! I do have a bit of a confession however...I know it is a foundation but I find myself reaching for it over and over again as a concealor! A little dab will do ya! I loooove it as a concealor. I can play with the four shades provided to find the perfect color. Check it out for yourself at: www.TheBloomingBeauty.com and click on the Motives Cosmetics link. Let me know what you think about it. I think you will find you cannot live without it as well.

BOUDOIR MAKEUP FOR SOUTH FLORIDA PHOTO SHOOT

Today I worked with a very nice young lady by the name of Dounia. She is an amazing lady and very inspiring. In the last 2 years she has lost 50 pounds and has kept the LB's off fabulously. She had called me a few weeks ago because I had did her friends wedding makeup a few months back and she kept my name in her mental rolodex. She always wanted to get her makeup done for a boudoir type of shoot and decided to call me to help transform her. She looked and felt fabulous! I snapped some shots with my cellphone but I cannot wait to see the professional images! I now present to you.....the Dynamite Dounia.... Hair by Debbie from Gem Hair
For your transformation....contact me at: www.TheBloomingBeauty.com Thanks for stopping by and stay "BE YOU"tiful!!! Natasha xoxo

Here are a few "sneak peek" images from the South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach) weddings I worked on in the last few weeks:
Please keep in mind that these were all taken with a cellphone. I am still awaiting the images from the photographers but that usually takes a few weeks and sometimes even months!! Looking forward to seeing them!! They were all wonderful to work with. Stay tuned.

Fashion Shoot (Prom Makeup?)

So yesterday I had a photoshoot with photographer Daniel Sedano and model Leah. We had so much fun and managed to get 5 looks out of it. The hair was changed each time and the makeup was gradually transformed into a glamour queen. Leah is actually very young and was telling me she was just going into her Senior year. How exciting! She definately has the look and is very sweet. Her father was just as nice and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them all.

When Leah mentioned school, it got me to thinking of prom makeup and hair. Prom season is quickly upon us and I have already gotten a couple of calls from a few young ladies looking to look their very best and get the luxury treatment on their prom night. In the last week alone I received about 6 calls in my area for prom makeup and hair in the South Florida area(Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miramar, Pembroke Pines). One of the main questions I get is, "Will airbrush makeup cover my marks?" and the answer is, "Yes".

In any case, here are a few images of the "very sweet" Leah from yesterday's shoot taken with the Iphone (pro images to follow shortly):

4 WAYS TO MAKE SURE YOUR WEDDING MAKEUP ARTIST IS HYGIENIC{SOUTH FLORIDA WEDDING MAKEUP ARTIST}

The best way to know for sure if your makeup artist of choice is hygienic is truly only by observing. Many artists will tell you they are hygienic but saying and actually doing are two very different things. Once you have picked the artist you are going to go with, call for your trial. This trial is not only for them to get to know you and show you how beautiful you are going to look but also an opportunity for you to see "how" they work. A special event makeup artist not only has to be fast and accurate, they also need to be "clean". Here are a few things to keep in mind during your trial:
1. During your trial with your chosen makeup artist, the first thing to do is look at the obvious. Does your artist have clean hands and nails? If her nails are super long, beware. Many "things" can hide out under there just waiting to land on your precious face. Perhaps her nails are at an approving length, well then are they clean? This should be a red flag for you as well.
2. Is his/her kit organized and clean? This should speak for itself frankly. If the kit they have invested tons of money into is not kept sanitary, you can bet your bottom dollar they have little regard for keeping germs from your face and the items in their kit.
3. Another big one to look out for is: Do they use hand sanitizer before touching your face? Once again, this should be a red flag for you if they don't. Think about it, where have their hands been prior to meeting with you? God only knows!
4. And lastly, but certainly not leastly; do they have clean brushes? Are they cleaning their brushes in-between clients? Do they use disposable lip brushes and mascara wands? If not, are they spraying their mascara wands and lip brushes with a disinfectant of some sort before placing them on your face? All things to keep in mind and watch out for.

I hope this helps you make a better and informed decision when choosing your wedding makeup artist. Remember, there are many artists who can do amazing work but that is not the only thing that should be important to you. If the artist does not live up to your expectations, do not be afraid to stop the trial and ask for them to either re-schedule or to simply clean their hands. The choice is yours but remember, if you look for these things they will probably be a good indicator as to how your experience will be on the day of your wedding.

Best wishes and I hope all your makeup dreams come true!

MAKEUP LESSONS(Wedding & Special Events Makeup Artist in South Florida)

Okay, so I haven't been on blogging in a bit due to the holiday craziness...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! by the way...plus, been getting a lot of calls for makeup lessons. Perhaps it is on many a girl's to do list for 2012 but we haven't hit the middle of January and I received tons of calls for classes and gave 2 personal classes already. The New Year is well on it's way! I have my own new year resolutions of course. I actually have a New Year's day ritual for myself and I create all of my "to do's" for that year in 7 areas of my life (Spiritual, Personal, Family, Business, Financial, Health, Education). I love doing this because it keeps me focused for the year and it helps me to build myself into the person I want to be. We are always growing and I for one do not want to be stagnant. In my business particularly, I need to be on top of my game! In any case, you should definately try it and see how it works for you! Plus, it is great fun when you can start to cross things off your list and see what you have accomplished. Oh yeah, and if you are in the Fort Lauderdale or Miami areas of South Florida and looking for a makeup lesson...holla at your girl!! ;) Stay "beyou"tiful, Natasha xoxo

Tousled & Wavy Bob (Wedding & Special Events Makeup Artist in Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area)

http://bellasu.gr/20604448 {click link}

I happened to be in style once again but this time accidentally! How you may ask? Well, due to all of my hair coloring, relaxing and use of heat products mixed with a little stress....and voila, my hair became extremely dry and fell out!! It came to the point that I had to go to the hairdresser and get a "HUGE" trim....practically 3 inches to be exact! I became a smidge depressed because I was so attached to my hair. In the process, I learned to embrace my looks and started to enhance the features I liked. My eyes and lips and oh yeah,...my cheekbones aren't that bad either...so I am finally happy..with my tousled wavy hair...which happened accidentally on purpose. See everything happens for a reason. I am in style without even really trying. The lesson in this, love where you are in your hair process and embrace the good. Enhance the positive!

Wedding & Special Events Makeup Artist in Miami and Fort Lauderdale(Adrian De Moura's makeup from The Real Housewives of Miami)

This is from a gig I had working with NuvoTv (formerly known as SiTV) for the marketing for a television show called Operation Osmin. It was actually back in May of 2011 but I found this pic in my archives and realized I never posted it! In any case, Adrian De Moura was one of the recruits on the show. The Operation Osmin show is a program that has a psychotic trainer named Osmin Hernandez that basically puts 10 out-of-shape recruits through hell for 30 days with hardcore training, constant criticism, and a diet of fish, salad and water. I still am baffled as to why the beautiful and very slim De Moura was on the show to begin with. Apparently she wanted to tone up...and that I can say, was successful, considering how toned she appears to be. Hmmmm, I was considering going on the show myself, what do you think?? I like fish, salad and water. Lol

Miami and Fort Lauderdale Wedding and Special Event Makeup Artist {Using Primer}

Honestly, I could not do a face for a South Florida bride or any special event without my handy dandy primer! It is like magic actually. My life as a makeup artist rides on the fact that I am a professional and can create a long lasting and beautiful makeup look for each and every one of my clients. In fact, I think I would be out of business otherwise. So how do I make the foundation last and last and last you may ask? Simply put, the primer. The Motives Perfecting Face Primer is oil free, super duper hydrating and ultimately creates a smooth canvas. In essence, it evens out the skin tone and actually deflects imperfections. Who would not want that?? Do you use primer? How has your life changed since you started using primer?? Do tell.

Miami-Fort Lauderdale Wedding Makeup Artist {CAT EYE}

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the only word I can think of is "WOW!!!"  This look can easily be toned down or up for a beautiful South Florida wedding. The "cat eye" has always had that sexy demure connotation.It can be achieved with the Motives liquid eyeliner. You can modify the look by either creating a thicker or thinner perfect line with the amazing brush on this ah-mah-zing eyeliner. (check out my site:TheBloomingBeauty.com and click the Motives Cosmetics link to order your own)  The lips are a beautiful peachy neutral tone which is matching the neutral nail....although it would look fabulous with the infamous french manicure brides tend to prefer.  Of course, a beautiful updo would complement the whole look and really "bridafy" it (is that a word??).  In any case, I do not think your fiance would be mad at you if you slowly approached him walking down the aisle sporting this look!!

Jennifer Love Hewitt - 20 Beautiful Bridal Hairstyles - InStyle Weddings - Celebrity - InStyle

Jennifer Love Hewitt - 20 Beautiful Bridal Hairstyles - InStyle Weddings - Celebrity - InStyle
(CLICK LINK TO SEE JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT AT HER BEST!!!)
Let's face it, Jennifer Love Hewitt is the picture of perfection in this pic. My South Florida brides would benefit from this look in every sense of the word.  This makeup and hair can last and hold up to the humidity of the Florida weather. The hairstyle is for the statement bride who wants to "marry" (get it??) both her classy and sexy style. Strategically added hair pieces can give the hair a beautiful, messy fun look...while still keeping things young and unstuffy (so to speak).  As for the makeup, simply gorgeous!! Very natural with touches of subtle color to give the skin life.  The eyes have a wash of bronze shimmer and are lined with a cream colored eyeliner to make the eyes look open and innocent (great technique for small eyes). However, the lashes create that subtle sex appeal that every bride wants on her big day! I think she looks ah-mah-zing!! A quick squirt of Motives Ten Years Younger http://motivescosmetics.marketamerica.com/index.cfm?action=shopping.csProductDetail&prodID=3077735 (which I use on a daily basis) will set the makeup and keep lines at bay. Loooove it!!

What do you think??

PROM MAKEUP

I remember when I went to my prom. back in....muffle muffle...lol.  I had the best time although some parts are a blur.  It was a few years ago you know!  What I do remember is being with my friends and feeling so excited to be with my boyfriend of 4 years.  I remember my dress...bright red and the matching shoes...and the limousine...and the music and all the pictures!! Lots and lots of pictures!!! Pictures that will be revealed on Facebook and anywhere else people can post them...How do you want people to remember you?

I have always been blessed with the ability to apply makeup so my makeup looked good.  I cannot vouch the same for all the girls at the prom.  Some of them looked like they were struggling quite a bit and some didn't even bother.  Can you imagine?!?!  Not me.  I think you would want to look your very best on one of the most important days of your life. Right?!?  Prom is a day that marks growth and makes a statement.  You are becoming a young adult and need to look as such.

I unforutnately did not have access to airbrush makeup.  In fact, I don't even think it existed yet (and if it did I didn't know about it) but if it had...I would've wanted it.  Airbrush makeup can give your skin that long lasting, fresh, dewy, natural  and perfect look! Without looking like you have any makeup on. Plus, it doesn't transfer onto clothing. Sounds great huh?  Take a look at my event site: http://www.thebloomingbeauty.com/ for a breakdown explanation of the differences between airbrush makeup and traditional makeup.  Both are awesome but they are different. It's kind of like the difference between a Range Rover and an Escalade.  Both are really nice but which would you rather drive?

If you live in the Hollywood/Pembroke Pines/Miramar areas and need a makeup artist for your prom, please feel free to contact me.

May all your makeup wishes come true!

CRAZY BUSY WEEK!

So Friday has finally come...thank you Jesus! Here is a small recap of my week.

On Monday I had a consultation with a bride over the phone.  She called me from New York.  She plans on getting married in October and visiting Florida in June, so I won't be able to give her a trial until then. However, she booked me already and we are chatting back and forth via email about her makeup dreams for her big day.

On Tuesday I had a half day gig with Multimedia. It was a short and sweet job.  One talent makeup and hair.  Nothing fancy because it was for a public service announcement for the Army Corps.

Here is an image taken once again with my Vibrant cellphone:

It was shot inside a small office inside the building and I had to squeeze past the camera every time I had to touch her up.  Not an easy task when you happen to have a...ummmm errr curvaceous bottom...lol  All in all it was all good.

Than in the afternoon I had to rush over to a photoshoot for Jossie Cordoba's new cd about to drop.  It was very last minute notice.  They contacted me that morning and I went over as soon as my morning gig was over. It was supposed to be only makeup but somehow turned into hair also and styling. Something happened with her hair appointment and I did my best considering I wasn't completely prepared.  Jossie is a character and very boisterious!  We had a good time.

Here are a few images taken with the celly again:

In the midst of all this I received a call from my son's school that he had a fever! Thank God grandpa was able to help out and I have been home for the rest of the week caring for my little munchkin. He is feeling much better and the fever has broken.

Osmin

Posted by Picasa
Here is Osmin....he is a really nice guy but I presume a tough trainer because these people have all lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time.  If you see the middle picture on the bottom you can see one of the contestants doing squats with him on her back!! And she is smiling!! Kudos to her...I think that is pretty cool and looking forward to seeing what else he did to these poor people to help them lose the inches and pounds!  Stay tuned..starting on July 4th NuvoTV a cable tv channel.
